Dr. Anjum Khera's passion for the medical field was sparked during her childhood as she watched her father, Dr. Abdul Ghani, a renowned ENT surgeon, work and help others.
Dr. Khera is a graduate of Fatima Jinah Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan.
In 1994, she completed her pediatric training at the Waterbury Hospital in Connecticut, which had affiliations with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine.
Upon completing her residency and prior to entering into private practice, she served as the Medical Director of the Pediatric Department at the Staywell Health Center in Waterbury, CT.
Dr. Khera is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at University of Connecticut Medical School and enjoys teaching medical students rotating at her office.
In partnership with Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN), she offers Residents the opportunity to perform clinical rotations at her office.
Dr. Khera is a strong advocate of children's overall well-being.
