Batoul Makki is an associate principal and member of the firm's Immigration practice.
She enjoys the complexity of immigration law and focuses on a multitude of special areas including family, business, asylum, removal defense, federal immigration litigation, consular processing, I-9 audits and worksite compliance.
Ms.
Makki spent several years living and working in three Arab states of the Persian Gulf, where she gained valuable insight and experience as an immigration practitioner.
Ms.
Makki received her J.D.
from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2002, where she was a senior member of the Law Review and founder of the Arab & Chaldean Law Students Association.
Ms.
Makki was a three-time book award recipient (Immigration Law, Worker's Compensation and Automobile Insurance) and also received a Women Lawyers Association of Michigan scholarship for outstanding law students.
She holds a B.A., with distinction, from the University of Michigan - Dearborn.

Makki is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
