Fayed, MD, is a psychiatrist on the Adult Service Line at Sheppard Pratt’s Towson Hospital.
He earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) from the University of Alexandria, followed by a master’s degree in neuropsychiatry from the University of Ain Shams.
He is ECFMG certified, licensed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Maryland, and board-certified in psychiatry and neurology.
During his residency in psychiatry, he worked as a clinical instructor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
After completing psychiatric residency, he worked as a staff psychiatrist at Fairmount Behavioral Health System, and then as an assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Fayed’s research interests include psychopharmacology, psychosis, improving psychiatric teaching, and mental health of refugees.
He won the Cleveland Clinic “Excellence in Teaching” Award and the American Psychoanalytic Association Fellowship.
Dr. Fayed is fluent in English and Arabic.
