Dr. Hussein Merza joined Compassionate Cancer Care Medical Group in 2020.
He was born and raised in Damascus, Syria.
Dr.Merza completed his undergraduate studies at Damascus University School of Medicine, where he obtained his degree as a Medical Doctor.
He completed his Internal Medicine training at the Western Reserve Care System, Northside hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.
During his preparation for the internal medicine board, he developed his passion for cancer treatment and was fascinated by breakthroughs in oncology research and cancer approaches like immunotherapy and personalized targeted therapy.
He finished his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at John & Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center, Lehigh Valley Health Network Hospital.
He believes that treating patients as they were a beloved family member is a crucial part of the treatment plan.
