Dr. Mustafa Al-Mashat, MD is an assistant professor of critical care medicine at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Al-Mashat earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan, School of Medicine.
He completed a residency in Internal Medicine from St.
Joseph Mercy Hospital (Ann Arbor, MI) and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from the GW Hospital.
Dr. Al-Mashat joined The GW Medical Faculty Associates as a full-time physician in May of 2020.
Dr. Al-Mashat has special interests in medical education for residents, students, advanced practitioners, and the intensive care unit staff in general.
His special area of clinical interests include the use of point of care ultrasound and critical care echocardiography.
Other areas of interest also include culture change in healthcare, evidence-based medical practice and cost-effectiveness in the critical care setting.
