Dr. Fares, a Board Certified General Surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, has been in private practice in the Flint area since 1988.
Dr. Fares performs all aspects of general surgery, with a special interest in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) and robotic surgery.
He also performs nonsurgical treatment of internal hemorrhoids with infrared coagulation and endoscopic banding.
Since 1988, Dr. Fares has been as Associate Professor at Michigan State University at both the Osteopathic and Allopathic programs.
Today, he continues to train residents in the field of general surgery and family practice for the respective training programs at Michigan State University.
