Al-Azhar Islamic Foundation strives to combine the traditional with the modern to provide a safe environment where the community can discuss, pose questions and provide answers that help its members be practicing American Muslims who are proud of their identity. In doing so, the center enables members to develop an understanding of the values of Islam and makassid alShariah.
Such a mission is accomplished through upholding religious, educational and social activities.
In addition to holding daily, Taraweeh and Eid prayers, the AIF runs a series of seminars on Quranic studies and Sunnah-based ethics, book discussions on Islamic history and philosophy, and courses on Quran memorization.
AIF also offers social activities including family nights, camp fires and sports tournaments for youth, and play meetings for children.
