"The Hedaya Center (as The Muslim Society of Greater Danbury Inc.) was founded in June 2009 as a private summer gathering in Newtown CT to tutor their children about their beliefs.
This community grew steadily into a ‘school’.
Over a period of the following two years, with more children enrolling and the addition of Programs for New Muslims, Youth, Women etc., the ‘school’ evolved into the ‘Al Hedaya Islamic Center’ with a multi-cultural Muslim Community vision that reflects the core Muslim values of moderation, education and outreach.
Our community includes about 100 Muslim households from all over the world!"
