The aim of the center is to serve the religious and social needs of the Muslim community and to build a culture of understanding and respect between its members and other communities in the Big Rapids area and beyond.
The Muslim community is growing and several families have been living, working, and studying here making Big Rapids home.

About UsICBR was founded in 2015 by a group of dedicated Muslims for the specific purpose of practicing, preserving Islam, and Islamic heritage, and to serve the needs of the Muslim families in Big Rapids and its vicinity. MissionThe Islamic Center of Big Rapids will dedicate its resources to serve the religious needs of the Muslim Community in Big Rapids, MI and its vicinity by providing a place of worship and educational services to its members and to serve as a resource for those interested in learning about Islam and Muslims. GoalsThe aim and purposes of the Center is to serve the best interest of Islam and Muslims in the Big Rapids area and its vicinity.
The Center shall: Promote unity among Muslims Arrange and hold prayers and Islamic religious festivals at appropriate times Conduct social, cultural, religious, educational, and other activities conforming with the traditions of Islam Avoid any and all wrong practices, which are not consistent with the teachings of Islam Promote friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to interested non-Muslims
