"Dr. Samir (Sam) Shabshab was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon.
Dr. Shabshab is board certified in both internal medicine and nephrology.
After serving as an attending physician in New Jersey, Dr. Shabshab relocated to the Washington, D.C., area to join Metropolitan Nephrology Associates in 1995.
He is currently a senior partner.
With his extensive experience as a clinical nephrologist since 1992, Dr. Shabshab is well versed in all aspects of the specialty.
He has a particular interest in the care of kidney transplant patients, as well as in critical care nephrology.
